Schiapparoli - The original Metal Design - Made in Italy

Collection 2026

No noise, only presence.

Schiapparoli - collezione design
Matter, before the form.

The metal as the source of the project. A solid precise material transformed to achieve lightness.

Schiapparoli - collezione design
No noise, only presence.

Forms that do not seek attention. They get it.

Schiapparoli - collezione design
L’Harmonie du Silence.

Balance, proportion, material. Design finds its voice in silence.

Collection 2026

The 2026 Collection was born from the convergence of two areas of expertise: the knowledge of metal honed by Schiapparoli over almost thirty years of metalworking and a new vision for design which explores the full range of expressive possibilities.

The metal is not treated as merely a simple structural element. It becomes a material that is visible, pierced by light, bent, perforated and shaped to the point to lose part of its own apparent rigidity.

Tables, console tables, lamps and sculptures are constructed around the same principle: to achieve presence without excess, character without superfluous decoration.

Every piece arises from the relationship between form and void, surface and light, industrial precision and human intervention.

Design by Luca Guastoni

Design by Luca Guastoni

The 2026 Collection is designed by Luca Guastoni for Schiapparoli.

The project starts from the material and from the possibilities offered from the working of metal, without seeking to conceal its nature.

Cuts, interlacing, curves and openwork become part of the language of the object. The void takes on the same value as the surface and allows the light to alter continuously the perception of shapes.

The result is an essential yet recognisable collection, in which the aesthetic exploration remains closely linked to possibility of actually constructing every element.

The design is not applied to the material after production: it emerges alongside it.

History: From metal to design

Schiapparoli was founded in 1996, drawing on the experience of Paolo and Giuseppe Schiapparoli as a workshop specialising in sheet metal working.

Over the years, the company has developed expertise in the processing of iron, aluminium and stainless steel, combining advanced manufacturing techniques with finishing processes carried out directly within the workshop.

Cutting, bending, punching, welding and structural metalwork have become part of a technical heritage built up through projects for various sectors characterised by high precision requirements.

With the Collection 2026, this experience opens a new chapter.

An understanding of the material, its possibilities and its limitations forms the starting point for a design collection developed and produced by Schiapparoli.

This is not a departure from its industrial roots, but their natural evolution: from the ability to realise a project to the ability to imagine it.

Made of Metal. Made in Italy

Every piece in the 2026 Collection is the result of a direct dialogue between design and production.

The metal is cut, bent, perforated, welded and finished at the Schiapparoli factory, where technical expertise and production technologies enable the material to be worked with precision.

Iron, aluminium and stainless steel are processed using different methods depending on the shape, function and desired effect.

This is where design meets the material.

A continuous dialogue between the design team and the workshop allows for the control of proportions, structure, details and finishes right through to the final result.

Designed and made in Italy.

Nest Light

Lamp sculpture

A mesh of metal envelops the light without containing it completely. The openwork dissolves the boundary between structure and lighting, projecting into space a presence which changes with the point of observation. Design by Luca Guastoni
Tangle

Sculpture for the wall

Lines of metal overlap without following any apparent geometry. Solid and void shape-shift with the light and the position of the observer, transforming a surface static into a composition that is constantly changing. Design by Luca Guastoni

Console

The openwork structure defines the volume without making it appear solid. The metal supports the smoked glass top, allowing light and transparency to pass through the object and lighten its presence. Design by Luca Guastoni

Nest

Dining Table

A table built around an apparent paradox: giving solidity to the material whilst leaving space for emptiness. The metal base becomes the visual centrepiece of the object, whilst the top allows its structure to be clearly seen. Designed by Luca Guastoni

Nest

Dining Table

The metal mesh unfolds beneath the floor as an organic structure. Viewed from different angles, it changes in density and pattern, making the base not a mere support but the true architectural element of the table. Designed by Luca Guastoni

Nest

Console Desk

A functional surface supported by a structure that retains the design language of the Nest family. Metal and transparency interact to create an element that appears light, whilst maintaining a distinct presence in the space. Design by Luca Guastoni

Sculpture for wall made of metal

Segments, overlaps and openings create an irregular pattern. The composition changes with the light, allowing the wall to become part of the artwork through shadows and depth. Design by Luca Guastoni

Sculpture for the wall

Flowing lines traverse the surface, creating depth and movement. The contrast between light and dark finishes accentuates the work’s graphic composition and alters the perception of the different levels. Design by Luca Guastoni

Coffee Table

Compact in proportion, open in structure. The metal mesh creates a light-permeable volume and transforms a functional element into a focal point within the space. Design by Luca Guastoni
Garden Table

Garden Table

Outdoor Table

A perforated metal structure supports the top whilst allowing light and air to pass through. The design visually lightens the volume and extends to the exterior the same relationship between matter and void that runs throughout the entire collection. Design by Luca Guastoni

The Gate

Vase sculpture

A functional element conceived as a small piece of architecture. The metal constructs and delimits the space without enclosing it, creating a relationship direct between structure, vegetation and environment. Design by Luca Guastoni
